PS Dental Studio respects your privacy. This SMS Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information associated with our SMS and MMS text messaging program. Participation in text messaging is optional. Your decision to provide or withhold consent to receive text messages does not affect your ability to receive dental care or purchase goods or services.
PS Dental Studio may use information associated with text messaging to support patient care, practice communications, and promotional communications for which you have provided appropriate consent.
PS Dental Studio does not sell, rent, trade, license, or share your mobile telephone number or SMS opt-in information or consent with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
Limited information may be provided to service providers that assist PS Dental Studio in operating and supporting communications, such as messaging platforms and telecommunications carriers. These parties may process information only as reasonably necessary to provide, transmit, secure, or support those services on our behalf and subject to applicable privacy and security obligations.
We may also disclose information when you specifically direct or authorize us to do so or when disclosure is required or permitted by applicable law. PS Dental Studio does not permit service providers receiving SMS information on our behalf to use that information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
Message frequency varies depending on your appointments, treatment, account activity, interactions with our office, practice updates, and communication preferences. Promotional messages are expected to be no more than four messages per month.
Message and data rates may apply. Your wireless carrier's messaging and data charges may apply according to your mobile service plan.
Text messages from PS Dental Studio may contain limited information concerning your dental care, appointments, treatment, insurance, billing, or account and may therefore contain protected health information.
PS Dental Studio uses reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect information under our control. However, standard SMS and MMS messaging is not an end-to-end encrypted communication method.
Text messages may pass through mobile carriers and other intermediaries, appear on a locked screen, remain stored on a device or backup, or be viewed by another person who has access to your telephone, mobile account, or a reassigned telephone number. Delivery of text messages cannot be guaranteed.
By consenting to SMS communications, you request that PS Dental Studio communicate with you through this method and acknowledge the privacy and security limitations associated with standard text messaging.
Please do not send Social Security numbers, payment-card information, highly sensitive information, or urgent dental or medical concerns through SMS. When a communication involves information that is particularly sensitive or complex, PS Dental Studio may ask you to contact the office by telephone or communicate through another appropriate method.
Consent to communicate by SMS does not waive any rights you may have under HIPAA or applicable Washington or federal law.
You may withdraw your consent to receive SMS/MMS communications at any time. Reply STOP to a PS Dental Studio text message to stop SMS communications.
We will also recognize other reasonable requests to revoke consent, including commonly recognized opt-out terms such as QUIT, END, REVOKE, OPT OUT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE.

We will process revocation requests as soon as reasonably practicable and within the period required by applicable law. We may send one final non-promotional message confirming that your opt-out request has been processed.
After your revocation has been processed, we will not send additional SMS/MMS communications requiring your consent unless you subsequently provide new consent. Opting out of text messaging does not cancel an appointment, alter financial obligations, or prevent PS Dental Studio from communicating with you through another lawful and authorized communication method.

By providing a mobile telephone number, you represent that you are the subscriber or customary user of that number or that you are authorized by the subscriber or customary user to provide the number for messaging purposes.
Please notify PS Dental Studio promptly if your mobile number changes, is reassigned, or should no longer be used to communicate with you.
SMS messaging should not be used for medical or dental emergencies. Call 911 in the event of a medical emergency.

This SMS Privacy Policy applies specifically to SMS and MMS communications and is not PS Dental Studio's complete HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices. Our Notice of Privacy Practices remains separately available through PS Dental Studio.
